How to have a genuinely Happy New Year

Eric Barker explains what brain research says will make you happy.

Sometimes being a student is tough.  Some students have it tough a lot of the time.  So let’s do what we can to increase our happiness quotients in 2018.

Every guru ever has claimed to have amazing secrets as well as answers that everyone needs and nobody else has, and these days a huge self-help industry promises to reveal to consumers the secrets of success and happiness.

But I’ve stumbled upon something that’s actually informative AND legitimately helpful AND it’s based on science AND it’s easy AND it’s free.  I love it.  Click to read New Neuroscience Reveals 4 Rituals That Will Make You Happy on Barker’s website.

Barker is also the author of Barking up the Wrong Tree: The surprising science behind why everything you know about success is wrong.  This book is on my to-read list because it includes such treasures as:

  • Why valedictorians rarely become millionaires, and how your biggest weakness might actually be your greatest strength

  • Whether nice guys finish last, and why the best lessons about cooperation come from gang members, pirates, and serial killers

Good to know…

Anyway, check out what brain research says will make you happy, and if you’re interested in The surprising science behind why everything you know about success is wrong, check it out on its Amazon site.
